Dr. McFarland grew up in the Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg, Virginia.
There she developed her love for animals through working on horse farms, riding horses as much as possible, showing heifers at the county fair and working at her local veterinary hospital. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at the University of Florida. In her free time, she loves hiking with her Dogs, Diego and Bill, and playing in a competitive beach volleyball league.
